What a rose screen is for
Rose is a vivid pink between red and magenta. It is one of the most saturated colors most panels can produce, so it is a fast check of whether your display can hit strong pinks without clipping them.

Rose sits between pink and red: red at full output with a moderate amount of blue and less green, giving a pink that retains real depth rather than reading as pale. That places it darker and more saturated than the pink page and lighter than crimson. The name has referred to the flower's colour for centuries, though roses themselves span nearly the whole warm range, so the name describes a convention rather than a measurement.
